Daily Disciplines

Devotion:

With the drawing of this Love, and the voice
of this Calling
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Journal Prompt

Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.
                                         -- Mother Teresa

What are some of the "small things" you can do "with great love"?

Prayer Prompt

Find a quiet place.   Close your eyes.  Slowly breathe in and out. Empty your mind of all that needs to be done, that is trying to get your attention.  After a few minutes of silence, read:

God saw the world falling to ruin because of fear and immediately acted to call it back with love.  God invited it by grace, preserved it by love, and embraced it with compassion.
                                                                                                --Peter Chrysologus, Fifth century

Lectio Divina Prompt

Practice lectio divina using:
Hospitality means primarily the creation of free space where the stranger can enter and become a friend instead of an enemy. Hospitality is not to change people, but to offer them space where change can take place. It is not to bring men and women over to our side, but to offer freedom not disturbed by dividing lines.”
